For a JCL state Latin convention this weekend I must complete a pastel work depicting the god Neptune...?
The question is, will a traditional long-haired (well, shaggy, NOT short and curly), long-bearded, three-point crown-wearing, trident-wielding version of the god be an inappropriate deviation from the "classical theme"? I have started the work with specifically those characteristics. I'm not going to make it cartoonish or anything, but I need to know if the hair should be a certain length, or the accessories a certain way to truly qualify. Don't want to insult the classics community.
