Ballet Pointe

If you buy ballet pointe shoes can the store owners say anything to you?

I want ballet pointe shoes, and I'm scared that if i buy the shoes the owner will say something to me cuz i'm not in pointe i just want to wear then and just keep them for show on my wall or something like that.

Don't worry about it, a lot of times dancers do have the employees fit them for shoes, but just as often dancers will just go in and tell them the size they want. I think that if you tell them that you want them to display on your wall they would be excited and flattered by your interest and admiration of ballet and they could help you find a perfect pretty pair. If this perfect scenario doesnt play out, I would reccomend doing some research just in case on the brand and size you are looking for (www.discountdance.com is a good place to look....if you find a pair you like you could even order them right of the web to avoid the stress of going into a dancewear shop). If you come in knowing exactly what you want then there are no questions to be asked. I hope this helps. Oh and in my opinion Gaynor Mindens are the prettiest shoes on the market but they are definately on the expensive end, Grishkos are a fine alternative.
